OK, I've made very little progress this month.  But the quilt that I've added to position 12 will get finished.  It's a challenge quilt that must be turned in before the end of December.  And since I really do have all those wall hangings I made this year that don't show on the list I think it's fair to say that this resolution is in the bag.  Now to start planning my strategy for next year's resolution...

I did get one top quilted and bound.  I better get busy if I want to get those last 4 done before the end of the year.

The month is nearly half over and I haven't posted the monthly update on my resolution.  Actually, I haven't posted much of anything since last month's update.  I have made a bit of progress.

At first glance it looks as though very little progress has been made.  Sure, I finally added #11 and got some work done on it, but that's all.  What I need to do is go back and revise the list as a whole for it occurs to me that if I choose to count all the wall hangings I've made this year for various challenges I can knock four additional numbers off the list.  That means that as soon as I complete one more quilt I'm done!  I'm going to try to fill out the list without those little wall hangings, but they are there if I need them.

I've decided that next year's resolution will be to complete 12 UFO's.  Any quilt that is already in progress on January 1, 2010 is fair game.  This does include quilts that will be given away or sold after they are done.  I already have a partial list of quilts in my head that I would like to complete in the coming year.  Gee, if I should happen to get any of them done before the year starts can I still count them toward my goal of 12?

Yes, it's that time yet again.  I've accomplished a surprising amount considering how busy June was.  Between the shop hop, quilt show, classes, and guild programs it's amazing that I found any time at all to work.  But I did!

Not only did I finally finish appliqueing all the blocks for #3, I got the entire top put together.  It's waiting its turn to be loaded onto the long arm and quilted.  The day before yesterday I quilted my Front Porch Stars and yesterday I attached the binding to the front.  Now all that's left for it is to hand stitch the binding to the back.  Since I am planning to enter both of these quilts in the state fair it is safe to say they will both be done very, very soon.  I just might meet my year end goal!

I haven't made quite as much progress in May as I had hoped.  The applique blocks for #3 still aren't done, but I only have 1 1/2 of them left.  Fortunately, I have finished up all the quilts for the quilt show right on schedule.  All I have left to do with them is put a sleeve on one [1], remove cat hair from them all, and get them delivered to a member of the collection committee. [2]

All in all, 5 quilts finished in 5 months is a respectable pace.

It doesn't look like I've made much progress in the past month.  The only thing to be crossed off the list is the applique on Frog Star.  But I've only got 3 1/2 blocks left to applique for quilt #3 (I've been dutifully plugging away at it) and #2 will go on the long arm machine Thursday to be immediately followed by #1.  Those two quilts (along with a couple more fractures that are in the pipeline) must be done before June.  That means next month you'll see lots of things crossed of the list!

I now have three quilts completely knocked off the list.  I also made good progress on two others.  At this pace I should have no problem getting 12 quilts done before the end of the year.  Go me!

I've managed to knock one quilt completely off the list.  Not bad!  I've also made a good amount of progress on #3 even though I have not yet finished any one item on the list.
