I can probably count on one hand (with fingers left over) the number of books I have failed to finish reading.  No matter how bad they are I feel compelled to finish them once I start.  This book languished half-read on my nightstand for several years before I finally admitted to myself that I was never going to finish reading it.  But it still sits on my bookshelf.

Oh I have several "unfinished" books, so don't feel bad, luv. I'm shocking!!! I buy them faster than I can read them, so I always have a few that sit there and languish. Then there are those that I wonder... "What the heck was I thinking when I bought THAT!" Those end up as paperweights or doorstops.

I'm quite guilty of that myself. I have books that I bought years ago and still haven't read. But once I start one I feel compelled to finish it no matter how bad it is. It's as if I made a commitment when I opened it up to that first page and I have to follow through on it.
