Time
I think I first started wearing a watch when I was in junior high. Whenever it was, it didn't take long for me to become addicted to having that little time piece on my wrist. I've been wearing watches all the time ever since. Even around the house. Even during summer vacation. I like knowing what time it is. I feel naked without one. I've always been diligent about keeping them all running. I replace the batteries when they run down. I purchase new bands when the old ones wear out. I welcome new ones into my collection and I wear them all. Or at least I used to.
A funny thing happened when I closed the shop and started working here at home. First I noticed there were days when I didn't even think about putting on a watch unless I was getting ready to leave the house. Then I started noticing that I would actually get out of the house without a watch on my wrist. If I hadn't left my street yet when I noticed it I would come back home to get one. Then I quit bothering to come back. Finally, one day I noticed that every watch on my dresser had a dead battery and I couldn't remember the last time I had worn one of them. That was several months ago. I don't miss them. Not at all. I never catch myself looking at my wrist to see what time it is. How did this happen?

I used to have a Mickey watch just like the last one on the right! But I lost it when I wore it to school 2 decades ago... =(
Well, time is just an abstract concept anyway, a watch is just a reminder that we are living by that concept. It's just day and night; sunrise and sunset anyway... =)
I loved the ones with stone faces. but I don't wear any of them anymore, I quite when i was riding and working in barns all the time and they got so filthy and gritty and disgusting. I even have a lovely tan tissot rock watch. in need of repair. But since I don't wear it I have never gotten it repaired.
My cell phone is blue, Alcatel: it is 6years old. I dont use it as well
Love your watches !

I used to wear them but then I discovered that I could tell time pretty well on my own, accurately enough, without them -- and that someone else always knew what time it was -- like TV and clocks on walls, etc. So I stopped. Haven't worn one in 20 years. It feels great. My old ones languish in drawers. They aren't as snazzy as yours, though.
