What do you plan to do when you retire?

I don't plan on retiring. I have no intention of giving up quilting until they pull the needle out of my cold dead hand. But Ken and I do hope to do a lot more traveling in the future. That means I'll have to cut back on the amount of time I spend working.

For some reason, I read that as "traveling INTO the future" which both caught me off guard and made me laugh at the same time. I think I'd go back into the past instead because their are a few episodes of Hazel I haven't seen yet and I wouldn't enjoy them unless I was 5 years old and sitting on the sofa in our old living room...

Well, if we want to get technical about it we are all traveling into the future. Except for those of us who have gained control of the space/time continuum. 8:-)

I'm with you on that retirement thingy. Actually, I'm in my first retirement already (retired from corporate life) but some just call it a 2nd career. :-) For my 2nd retirement when the kid moves out, maybe the peace corp or travelling the Ren faire circuit with hubby. So I'm feeling ya on the travel aspect too.

Ken's retired from the Air Force (for which he does collect an actual retirement check) and I consider myself retired from both teaching and being tied to the quilt store. This third career is the best one so far. 8:-)
