A Million Quilts For Christmas
Last night at my quilt guild meeting one of the members got up to announce a project she has started. Please help her reach her goal.
Make a difference! Join the people across America who are pledged to give one million quilts (blankets or throws) to the homeless before winter. It can be one you found in your closet, one you buy or one you make. It can be pieced or made of fleece. It can be old or new. It can be for an adult or a child. Just do it! Give a quilt to someone homeless in your area and then send an email to crazyquilts08@yahoo.com or a post card to:
Just say, "I did it! This is (insert first name) in (insert city)." Let's make some good news for Christmas. "This is Donna in Edmond, OK and I did it." Won't you?

She would love to see this project extend even beyond the borders of the United States. Can't you help?

sigh.
I hope your friend's idea works out!
That counts. Be sure to let Donna know when you do it.
That's a great idea. I'm sure Dave will appreciate it.
I did it!

Here's my post about it.
I'll email your friend and let her know that I did it, Queen. It was the nicest feeling and I'm glad that you posted this --- it motivated me to do something good for someone else. Thank you!
I ALSO bought 4 fleece baby receiving blankies in pretty girl/boy colors. I don't have any healthy insurance, so I go to a free clinic when I need to go to a doctor. The clinic is AWESOME and in their waiting room, they have food & bakery items for their patients to take home with them, plus handmade mittens & hats and stuff like that. I have an appointment in another week, so when I go to my appointment, I'm going to take the receiving blankies along to give to them so they can give them to some families that may need them. PLUS I have a bunch of new baby onesies that I had appliqued to sell at a recent flea market that I had gone to, but they didn't sell. So I'm taking THEM along too, so the clinic can give them to some people who have little babies.
Thanks again for this post, Queen.
