A Major Milestone

Well, at least I think it is. Today is our 9th wedding anniversary. Yeah, lots of people manage to stay married that long. No big deal. But I have now officially been married to Ken longer than my first two marriages combined. I consider that to be major. Ken just chuckles at these things. His first marriage lasted 18 years, so he figures it's no big deal. But he does humor me when I say it's a big deal. Guess that's why we're still together!

Many congratulations, and I agree with you - it is an achievement in this day and age. My marriage only lasted four months, so I think you and Ken are doing extraordinarily well! I hope the next nine years are as wonderful as the first were :-)

My first one should have only lasted about 4 days, but I stuck it out for 3 years hoping things would improve. What a moron I was! 8:-)

Works for me. Does that rule extend to birthdays? Do I get to go out 50 times for birthday? That would be cool! 8:-)

My wife and I are a month away from our first anniversary

Was it a good night out? :-)

It was. We aren't doing our usual German restaurant this year because I'm just not well enough to appreciate the $100 dinner (it was my decision to skip it this year). Last night we went to Outback Steakhouse. Yeah, I know. Not real romantic, but we had a gift card so it hardly cost us anything. Saturday night we'll be going to a local casino for the buffet. Not because I like casinos or dinner buffets (really don't care for either one), but because for dessert we can go into the bar and get real honest to gosh made fresh right in front of us Bananas Foster. It is absolutely my most favorite dessert on the planet and I haven't had it in about 17 years (Aug. 9, 1991 to be exact). I wonder if they'll let me skip dinner and just have 4 or 5 desserts? 8:-)
